Cousin's at Heritage Square

Mom, Joy, Michal, Matthew, Carter, Macy, Madison, and I all went to Heritage Square for a day of fun last weekend. We all had a great time. It was so fun for the kids. They had horse rides, boats, all the amusement rides, and even funnel cake fries!!

It is so wonderful that the family is so close by that we can do things together. I am thankful my kids get to grow up with their cousins! They have great times together.

Twins start school!

The twins started school last Thursday. Carter was a little overwhelmed the first day, you know he is a Ma-Ma's Boy! He didn't quite know what to expect. He did fine and now loves it. I haven't even had one phone call since he started.
Macy was ready to go at 5a.m. that morning. She got dressed, got her back pack and was ready to get there. She stood in line and said "Bye" as if to see you later you can go now. She is so independent. She too is doing great in school and loves going.
I didn't even shed a tear the first day. It was kind of hard, Macy is in morning kindergarten adn afternoon enrichment, and Carter is in morning enrichment and afternoon kindergarten, so they line up in different spots. I had to keep running from one end to the other to make sure they got in and were ok. So I didn't have time to get emotional. I did that the night before. Carter was crying and couldn't go to sleep. He kept saying "I'm going to miss you Mommy"! You know that made me sad and I cried all night. I know this is crazy, since I was so ready for them to start school, but I am still a Mommy and that motherly stuff is just in us!!
Enjoy the pictures and have a great week!

Fourth of July Weekend

What a great Holiday weekend we had. Friday Keith took Carter and I took Macy, Madison, and Emma (Madi's Best Friend) school shopping. The twins start school this Thursday! Carter was so happy that Daddy did not get his hair cut too short, you know, he is growing it out? He got all kinds of "skater" style outfits and new vans shoes. The big girls had her trying on so many outfits that even Macy got a little tired of modeling! She managed to get so very cute outfits, hair bows, and a ton of flip flops. Shoes are very important to her (and there cheap). She has to match you know.

Saturday we went to a great BBQ and pool party hosted by one of Keith's co-workers sisters. If was such a great party and the kids had a great time swimming and playing with new friends. We also went the the Hunt's (madiosn's best friends family) home for an evening BBQ and fireworks. Of course, the kids had a great time there with their SEVEN kids. Keith and I had great conservation and adult time with great people (we need more of this!!). I am not quite sure if it would be possible to not have a great time with the Hunt Family. Great people!! I could not have asked for a better 4th of July!! We usually stay home and decided to break the staying home mold this year and was glad we did. All three of our kids are not big on fireworks or "fire cracks" as Macy calls it. They all get scared and hang on me so it is usually not worth taking them out for anything. So glad we decided to get out this year. What a great weekend!!
