Carter

I know somethings should be private, like bath time, but, Carter was so funny the other night while in the tub I just had to take a picture of him. I don't think you can see any private stuff, because he uses all of my shaving cream every time he takes a bath in my tub so the water is pretty murky!

I came in to check on him because he was quiet for 1 minute, and that can mean BIG trouble if your name is Carter, and he was sitting criss-cross applesauce and holding his hands up meditating. He said this is what he is going to do when he gets mad inside of him to calm down. I was cracking up. If you were wondering, he still gets mad in him. He may need a little more practice. He is so funny!!

Enjoy!

Memorial Weekend

The craziness started Friday, Madison had field day at school, so I took the twins up to watch her and Carter (you know the calm, nonactive one) walked away from us and I couldn't find him for like 20-30 minutes. I was freaking out trying to find him amongst a couple 100 kids all about the same size. It turned out some lady heard him say Mom and no one answered and she asked him if he was lost and he said "yes"? So she took him in the school and I was looking all over outside? One of the most scariest moments of my life!!! That kid is going to be the death of me I swear.

Then Saturday, still no rest, Madison had gym for 4 hours in the morning and then she did a 2 hour House of Speed camp with Don Beebe (former NFL Player). It was pretty cool. She learned some running techniques and now wants to do a private with them. I am thinking . . .more money!?!?

Now onto Sunday, you would think relaxing!!! No, my wonderful husband decides it is time to kick up the weight loss program with some exercise. I hate exercise!! he has this whole circuit routine that he thinks I am going to do every other day??? I was dying doing this, it is so hard, I almost lost my cookies a couple of times and now today, I can't walk??? He thinks I am going to do this torture again tomorrow. He has seriously lost his mind!!

Ok, now today, an extra day off and still no rest? My kids who I have told over and over again, NO MORE PETS!!! Well, me being a push over agrees to let them get some hermit crabs? What am I doing? I really think if I had had some rest the past few days and I wasn't so sore, I am sure I would have said NO!! But, I am too sore and too tired to fight with them, so I gave in. So now, yes, we have two hermit crabs and with my luck, they are probably a boy and a girl and I will end up with more before long.

So, the Holiday weekend is over and I have had no rest and I am sore, if I hadn't mentioned before. But I had 3 days jammed pack with my kids and I couldn't be more happy!!

5th Grade Talent Show

Madison is finishing up her 5th grade year in a few weeks, so the school crams everything into the last few weeks. We have been to music program, choir program, tonight a 5th grade talent show, and tomorrow is field day, all this week.

Madison and her very best friend in the whole world (she is actually a great friend to Madison, I am kind of partial to her too!!), Emma, did a very cute little acrobatic routine for the talent show tonight. If they were to have given out awards, I am sure they would have won!

Way to go girls!!!

I also thought I would share with you some of the records Madison has at school. In gym class they have a fitness program every year and Madison has the 4th grade school records for sit-ups and pull-ups for girls and 5th grade pull-ups for girls. They have a wall in the gym with all the names on it (picture below). Way to go Pie!!

Biggest "loser"

Ok, so most of you know that Keith and I decided to join some friends of ours in a friendly competition for weight loss. Me being the non-competitive type (ha-ha) decided that this was time for me to really get my act together and loose some weight. I always feel funny using the "well I had twins" excuse all the time, they are 5 now!! So, Keith and I have really been eating better and getting some exercise. We did it for 8 weeks and it ended last Saturday.

Drum roll please . . .I WON!!! I have lost 23 pounds. I get to go get a massage and pedicure with my winnings.

However, the real fun thing of all of this is my dear loving husband, Keith, decided it would be fun to do a 5k run/walk for some exercise for us. So we did our first run at Invesco Field and I really liked it. I thought I would hate it, but it was fun. We did another 5k run last Saturday. I have learned that it is fun and I really enjoy spending one-on-one time with Keith. We beat our first time by 8 minutes this last time. Keith thinks by the end of the summer I will be running the whole course??? (Ha) I like walking.

Welcome to our blog

I always love reading other people's blogs so I decided to start our own. I am not much of a writer, but I will try to keep this updated.

Keith and I have been happily married for 12 years but have been together for 25 years. We were high school sweethearts. We have 3 amazing kids. Madison who is 11 and our 5 year old twins Macy and Carter. We also have our angel Jalen (7-16-02 to 9-25-02) watching over us daily.

Our days are pretty busy chasing the 3 kids around, so I will do my best to keep you posted on their/our activities.

Enjoy
